Dzovag Baghboudarian

DZOVAG  BAGHBOUDARIAN

 Dzovag Baghboudarian was born in 1975 in Damascus. She completed her middle-and-high-level education at the “Miatsial” National School (1987) and high school studies at “AL Shahbandar” (1993). In 1999, she completed her studies at the Department of Literature “French Language” at Damascus University and the High Institute of Music Damascus violin class in 2001. Later, in 2003, she received the “M1” MA certificate in French Literature. She played in several bands and orchestras, such as the Chamber Music Orchestra of the Arabic School of Music (1988-1990), the Students’ Orchestra (1990-1993), and “Mari” Women’s Orchestra (2015-2016). Since 1996, she has played at the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. Some more musical activities in 2017-2018 included participation in the Baroque Festival and the All Armenian Symphonic Orchestra. In 2020, she was appointed the Head of the National United School of Damascus. Dzovag Baghboudarian has had a long-standing experience in teaching French and violin: she has been a French teacher at the Damascus “Miatsial” National School (2000-2018), a violin teacher at Solhi-al-Waldi Institute of Music (from 2001 up to present), a French teacher at the High Institute of Music of Damascus (2011 up to now); a music teacher at Tawheed al-Atap Music School (2014- 2020), a violin teacher at Shabibat ALAssad (2017-2020), a Director of “Miatsial” National School (2020). She has been a member of the Homenetmen, the leader of the Damascus Branch of the Scout Movement in 1997, a member of the Hamazkayin Educational and Cultural Society (Damascus), the Hamazkayin Students’ Committee (1998), and a member of the Board of Directors of the “Miatsial” National School (2019).
