URUGUAY

The Hadjin people were mainly concentrated in Montevideo, their number was 164 people, who had migrated to Uruguay after the surrender of Cilicia.They were engaged in grocery sales, tailoring, shoemaking, and trade. They lived quite well, thanks to their diligence and hard work. The Uruguayan branch of the Hadjin Compatriotic Union was founded in 1930 and enthusiastically implemented numerous joint Hadjin initiatives.
