BRAZIL

The number of Hadjin people in Brazil was 315 . They mainly lived in the city of São Paulo. They were engaged in various crafts: barbering, shopkeeping, trading, tailoring, shoemaking. There were also machinists and shoe factory owners. In 1920, after the fall of Hajin, a new group of surviving Hadjin people settled in São Paulo and the surrounding areas. Initially, engaged in dyeing and lemonade production, the Hajin people later occupied a rather influential position in the economy of São Paulo. The branch of the Hadjin Compatriots’ Union operated quite actively.
