THE PATRIOTIC UNION OF HADJIN
The Hadjin Compatriotic Union, with its branches and press, carried out educational, patriotic and homeland-building activities in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, the USA, Greece, France and the countries of the Middle East, which are indestructible evidence of the vitality of our people. The glorious crown of the activities of the Hadjn Compatriotic General Union and its branches is the foundation of the city of Nor Hachn in the Motherland.

CYPRUS
The Hadjin community in Cyprus was formed after World War I. The number of Hadjin people was about 231. They were engaged in various crafts: shoemaking, carpentry, cloth trading, clay making, baking, etc. Although there was no official branch of the Hadjin Compatriots’ Union there, the Hajin people organized family and friends’ gatherings and always lived by Hadjin ideas. They mainly lived in the cities of Nicosia, Amiantos, Larnaca and Limassol.

News

A book of accounts from Hadjin, which belonged to Vartivar Arslanian (Marina Piranian’s maternal great-grandfather). The family owned lands and farms and also bred livestock. This book of accounts of around 100 pages is written in Turkish using the Armenian letters, in it we can find business transactions, monetary accounts, names, etc.
